The domed luminaire housing shall be made of a ASTM 356.2 aluminum cast in permanent molds and shall encompass the following specifications:
The upper chamber / dome shall house the removable ballast assembly, topped by a coupler for pendant mounting or with optional side mounting.
The optical chamber shall accommodate either a multifacted, polyhedral diffused, specular aluminum reflector for either Type III or Type V light distribution.
The enclosure shall be a gasketed clear DR acrylic, polycarbonate or glass bullet screw-in lens. For models with flat or convex lens, a cast aluminum, hinged and gasketed door frame shall be welded to the underside of the shade and the lens and the cast lens ring assembly shall compress securely against the gasket for weather tight operation.
The cut-off diffusion / glare control shall be a means of a hemispherical aluminum reflector shade positively attached to three taped bosses cast inside the housing by three stainless steel bolts.
The electrical assembly shall be a high power factor ballast designed to operate a 400 watt (max) HID lamp (by others) mounted to a tray with a porcelain glazed medium base lamp holder, 660V/4KV, pulse rated and factory tested.
The finish shall be a polyester powder coating, electrostatically applied and thermocured over a sand blasted surface with a 8 stage chemical wash and pre-treatment process.
The luminaire shall be ETL and CSA listed and suitable for wet locations. |
